Shredder Chess lets you play against the Shredder chess engine, described in its Google Play listing as a 19-time computer chess world champion. Set its strength from beginner to master, or let it adjust to your level; the app can also estimate your Elo rating. Its opponent can mimic human play at different strengths, including making typical mistakes at some levels.
Practice with 1,000 built-in chess puzzles, review games and positions with Shredder, and get coach warnings when a move may be a mistake. Other tools include an opening book, game loading and saving, PGN import and export, and a choice of chessboards and pieces. The app also supports blindfolded play.
